This link is found on the "Admin" -> "Configuration" page or, in some cases, on your home page if you have older games in the system. It takes you to a page that provides several functions to prepare for a new season. Among those options are:
For most things, you can select a cut-off date to clear form the live system. All games, meetings, etc. after the specified date remain in the live system. For most organizations, the default options are what will be needed. If you have custom fields in your organization, you may wish to clear some of those (such as test scores, etc.). If you require officials to register each and every year/season, you will want to clear registration status for officials. Once you remove items from the live system, you can delete things you no longer need including teams, officials, locations. etc.
