Welcome to the Austin Football Officials Association (AFOA) www.RefTown.com portal! To become a member of AFOA, and to remain in good standing, you agree to the following conditions. Please read them carefully.
YOUR MEMBERSHIP
If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. AFOA and its associates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate memberships, remove or edit content, or cancel game assignments in their sole discretion.
By agreeing to become a member of AFOA, you agree to abide by the Bylaws and Policies of both the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) and the AFOA. TASO's bylaws and policies may be found at http://taso.org/taso-policies. Click Here for AFOA Bylaws and Click Here for AFOA Policies.
You must pay dues to both TASO and AFOA to become and remain a member.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS
Members of AFOA are independent contractors. Nothing can modify this status and nothing will be construed to create the relationship of employer and employee, principal and agent, partnership or joint venture, or any other fiduciary relationship. Game assignments are the sole discretion of AFOA and are not guaranteed to members.
You may not act as agent for, or on behalf of, AFOA or TASO, or to represent AFOA or TASO, or bind AFOA or TASO in any manner. Only individuals appointed or elected to an officer position may act on behalf of AFOA.
You will not be entitled to worker's compensation, retirement, or other benefits afforded to employees.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
When you visit this site or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this site or http://www.afoa.ws. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any requirement that such communications be in writing.

AFOA may grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of AFOA.
