In addition to being able to control which days of the week or specific dates and an official is available, it is also possible to restrict an officials assignments based on the number and frequency of those assignments. Both officials and assignors can set these values for an official.
The settings that are available are:
- Maximum Days
- This limits how may days an official is eligible to work in a rolling 7-day period. The default is 7....allowing an official to work 7 days a week if otherwise available.
- Examples:
- If this is set to "2" and an official has an assignment on Monday and Tuesday, that official will be considered unavailable until the next Monday.
- If this is set to "3" and an official has an assignment on Monday and Thursday, that official will be considered available for new games. If given a game on Friday, they would become unavailable, now having 3 games in the period until one of the falls of....until Monday.
- Minimum Day OFF
- This limits how close together an official can work games...do they need days off between games for whatever reason. This defaults to 0 days off.
- If this is set to 1, the official needs 1 off day between every day assigned. If they get a game on Wednesday, they'll become unavailable on Thursday and return to available on Friday.
TO UPDATE THESE ITEMS
Official:
- Click on your name in the top right corner
- Click "My Profile"
- In the top right section, click "Assignment Preference"
- Update the values as desired
- Click Update
Administrator:
- Locate the official on the directory of officials
- Check the box to select the officials
- Click the edit button
- Near the bottom, locate a section called "Assignment Options"
- You may need to click the section header to expand the section...this section is normally hidden/collapsed.
- Update the values as desired
- Click Update
